AceShowbiz – Lady GaGa is truly one of the best pop sensations in this decade. With her flamboyant stage show and costumes, as well as her music that resonates with young and old alike, the superstar sold more than 27 million albums in just a few years into her career and has a massive, devoted fans called Little Monsters.
Making a name for herself since her debut album “The Flame” in 2007, GaGa recently made a comeback with a new single entitled “Stupid Love”. The new song additionally marked her return to her theatrical pop root after she switched style on her last album “Joanne”.
Considering this, it’s only natural that people were very hyped over her new single. “Stupid Love” debuted at No. 5 on Billboard’s Hot 100, becoming her sixteenth single to make it to the top five of the weekly chart. It also marked her highest-debuting entry since “The Edge of Glory” launched at No. 3 almost nine years ago.
Not only doing well on music charts, but “Stupid Love” also received praises from critics. For instance, Harper’s Bazaar described the song as “upbeat cut with big vocals and dance and electronic-inspired production,” seemingly “poised to be another radio hit from the singer.”
Meanwhile, Spencer Kornhaber of The Atlantic called the single a “glorious comeback” and a “return to form not only for the singer, but also for her genre.” Heaping praises for GaGa, he continued, “Gaga’s voice is so big and personable that a sense of humanity remains intact.”
“Stupid Love” is set to be included on GaGa’s upcoming album “Chromatica”. She previously said of the record, “We are definitely dancing… I put all my heart, all my pain, all my messages from the other realm that I hear of… what they tell me to tell the world and I put it into music that I believe to be so fun and you know, energetically really pure. I want people to dance and feel happy. I would like to put out music that a big chunk of the world will hear, and it will become a part of their daily lives and make them happy every single day.”
“Chromatica” will hit the stores on April 10.
