Adele impersonator Maria Herriott appeared on This Morning on Wednesday to talk about her weight loss plans, but viewers were left confused as they couldn’t see a resemblance at all.
Taking to Twitter, one said: “Well, even the real Adele didn’t come first in a lookalike contest, so that explains it.”
Another wrote: “Would help if she actually looked anything like Adele.”
A third noted: “That Adele lookalike looks more like Gemma Collins.”
Someone else tweeted: “Ah here’s the Adele lookalike again who doesn’t look or sound like Adele, she is a beautiful woman as she is.”
And another added: “Who told her that she looks and sounds like Adele? Someone who was deaf and blind.”

Maria was on the show to talk about her plans for a gastric bypass, after Adele lost a whopping seven stone in weight.
The celebrity lookalike said that seeing photos of Adele’s weight loss was a “real shocker”.
Hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes had opened the segment by suggesting Maria was “risking her life” by going through with the elective surgery, however she had other ideas.

She said: “I believe I’m saving my life. If I get any bigger I’m risking diabetes and other weight health issues.”
The singer explained: “I’m a tall girl so I do carry my weight well, but I’ve gained quite a lot of weight recently.”
Maria said: “My family are obviously concerned, but I did have a gastric band. My story is very similar to Vanessa Feltz…

“Due to complications, had it removed last April and the bypass was something that was gonna be happening, but unfortunately I got accidentally discharged from hospital.
“I’ve decided to speed up the process and go privately.”
She explained she has to drink eight glasses of semi-skimmed milk a day, as well as one mug of Bovril, for two weeks before the operation.
Maria said Adele won’t put the weight back on, but she’s “covered” her options if she does.
She said: “I will buy myself a fat suit. You can pad up. You can’t squeeze yourself into something and make yourself six times smaller.
“But it’s not going to happen, she wouldn’t have this massive transformation to then put the weight on.”
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV
