Archie Lyndhurst's girlfriend says actor made her the 'happiest girl' in tribute

Archie Lyndhurst’s girlfriend Nethra Tilakumara has described the late actor as her “person and best friend all in one” in a heartbreaking tribute.

The 19-year-old, who is the son of Only Fools and Horses actor Nicholas Lyndhurst, was found at his London home last week, and the circumstances of his death are said to be non-suspicious.

Archie and Nethra met at the Sylvia Young Theatre School in London’s city centre, with the young actress sharing a heartfelt statement about their relationship over social media.

Taking to Instagram, she recalled the moment they met, saying: “There was once a boy named Archie Lyndhurst and he made me the happiest girl in the whole wide world.

“A boy in a white beanie with his skateboard, swaggered through two wooden doors with an unimaginable lust for life down the hallway of Sylvia Young Theatre School.”

She continued: “Boyfriend doesn’t do it justice. Archie you were my Person and Best friend all in one.

“To spend the rest of my life laughing and going on adventures with you, was just it for me. Everything made sense with you.

“You made me laugh like no one else and you loved me in such a way that I will forever just be grateful for. Being loved by you was a bonus, but I can proudly say you are the most incredible person that I have ever met and had the pleasure of being in love with.

“The world isn’t ready for what’s yet to come. You talented, beautiful soul, thank you for a lifetime I will never forget.

“You have my heart forever. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for making me the luckiest girl in the world.”

Nethra finished: “Every day with you was the best day ever, because I finally met my match.”

Both Archie and Nethra co-starred in So Awkward, a BBC series about young teens coming of age as they cope with “embarrassing parents and incompetent teachers”.

Police have said the CBBC actor’s death is being treated as “unexplained but not suspicious.”

Archie’s family have paid tribute to the teen’s legacy, with his mum, Lucy Smith, writing: “We shall love him forever and a day and are the luckiest parents to have had the most wonderful unique son who has bought us nothing but joy in our lives.”
