The Great British Bake Off winner John Whaite has stunned fans with his hunky post-lockdown transformation.
The food writer from Wigan has embarked on a fitness mission over the past few months.
John, 31, has revealed that he’s been working hard to shift his “lockdown weight” and his social media followers are loving it.
The patisserie expert took to his Twitter account to post a photograph showing off his arm muscle in the mirror and another revealed his toned glutes.
Sharing the two snaps in view of his 88,000 followers, John tweeted: “Good morning one and all. I’ve been working hard to shift my lockdown weight with my cousin who runs his outdoor gym Rural Fitness (rural_fitness1 on Instagram). He certainly pushes his clients hard to make the gains they’re looking for…”
Unsurprisingly, John’s fans were impressed with his body transformation and couldn’t help but comment on his “buns”.
One follower gushed: “Good lord. Looking good.”
Another added: “New style of buns today, I see?”
A third posted: “Those buns have been in the proving drawer.”
While a fourth penned: “Looking amazing well done.”
John won the third series of The Great British Bake Off in 2012.
Last year, speaking to The Daily Telegraph, John said that despite “gladly” quitting his job when the offers rolled in, his joy was short-lived when “the demon of over-estimated self-value began to percolate into my soul.”
The TV star explained: “As the next batch of Bake Off starts emerged, my appeal shrank.
“Year on year, the working days became smaller and financial offers were smaller.

“The life to which I had become accustomed slowly dissolved.”
John added: “Some days I’d wish I had never been on the show, because in reality, it totally derailed me from a steady life path.”
But the cookery school teacher said it wasn’t all negative and that if he could go back, he would still do the show all over again but would “approach it so differently”.
John works as a chef, television presenter and an author.
He’s had a weekly cooking slot on Lorraine and he was a presenter and judge on the ITV daytime cookery competition show Chopping Block.
