Cardi B has filed for divorce from her husband Offset on the grounds she’s “tired” of his “non-stop cheating and sexting other women,” according to reports.
Chart-topping female rapper Cardi and Migos singer Offset have been married for three years after tying the knot in 2017.
However the WAP singer made the filing on Tuesday in Atlanta, Georgia, close to their marital home.
The papers state the couple are living in a “bona fide state of separation” and that their marriage is “irretrievably broken”.
A friend of Cardi has now spoken out about the news, and told The Sun they are “proud” of her for finally divorcing the father of her two-year-old daughter Kulture.

They told The Sun: “Everyone saw this split coming, and those closest to Cardi are so proud of her for finally saying enough is enough.
“Cardi confided in friends that she was tired of his nonstop cheating. It has been a problem in their relationship from the very beginning and she just couldn’t take it anymore.”
The close source further added: “Cardi B is too good for this. She was constantly being hit up by women who would send her photos of their sexy text messages with Offset.”

Cardi’s friend claimed the girls who sent her the text messages with Offset were “hooking up” with him.
The singer and Offset were often fighting over “cheating” in their marriage and their relationship became “toxic”, according to the source.
It’s claimed Offset had cheated on Cardi “throughout their whole marriage” but the rapper has always denied any allegations of infidelity.
According to an E! source, Cardi tried to forgive and trust Offset after he cheated on her in 2017, but it didn’t work out.

They stated: “He has been pleading with her that he hasn’t, but many girls have come forward with claims. She had enough and decided to file.”
While a People insider claimed: “Offset has pretty much cheated the entire time [they’ve been together], which is awful.
“But Cardi looked the other way because of the baby. She also didn’t want to be embarrassed. But she’s had enough.”
It’s claimed that Offset would often shower her with gifts to try and make it up to her, but she’s tired of it now.

The source added it “was really ridiculous because that just doesn’t fix the problem”.
Cardi shocked fans on Tuesday when she announced she was filing for divorce from Offset after three years of marriage.
The star is also amending her filing so Offset can have joint custody of their daughter as the rapper just wants to have an “amicable” split.
Just days before she announced the news, Cardi posted a cryptic message on Instagram.
She wrote: “Her heart finally told her to stop wasting her time, adding: “It’s time.”
