Cher Lloyd's dad hospitalised for third time during coronavirus lockdown

X Factor alum Cher Lloyd has opened up about her personal life, revealing that she and her family are currently going through a “scary time”.

The Swagger Jagger songstress took to Instagram to tell her 2.1million followers about her struggles at the moment.

She penned: “Hi everyone, I’m sorry I’ve been quiet on here – I find it difficult to share my personal life at the best of times but I feel I need to let you know what’s going on.

“My dad has been seriously unwell and is in hospital.

“This has been really difficult on us and my head’s all over the place.

“I wish I could see him, and I wish I could be with my family to support them, especially mum.”

Cher went on: “We can’t be with dad but I’m so grateful to the doctors and nurses for looking after him.

“This is such a scary time for everyone. I hope you are keeping safe.”

The 26-year-old went on to tell her fans that she would be taking a step back from the social media platform for the time being.

This is the third time that Cher’s dad Darren has been hospitalised during the ongoing coronavirus lockdown.

Darren suffers from a pre-existing condition and last month Cher revealed that he’d already been to hospital twice during the pandemic.

She told House Of Solo: “My dad hasn’t been well for a long time and the idea of not being able to be close is a really scary thought.

“He’s actually been in hospital twice during the lockdown with his pre-existing conditions and every single time I get the phone call, I ask myself, ‘Is this going to be because of his pre-existing condition or is this going to be the call that I’’m dreading?'”

Outside of her personal life, Cher recently released her latest single Lost, as well as an accompanying music video.

Impressively, the video was filmed in just one continuous shot.
