Coronation Street’s Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) has had a lot on her plate recently, and things are about to get even worse.
Not only does she have to accept her twins, who were taken into care, are moving to Australia, she missed out on her chance to have a final goodbye with them.
Fans were horrified when her arm got crushed by a car during a freak accident in the garage earlier this week.
She was discovered by Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) and will be rushed to hospital to get her arm treated.

However, it looks like her problems are far from over as she struggles to recover from the accident, sparking concern from Peter.
Abi is given pain medication to cope with her injuries, which looks set to spark a relapse as she finds it hard to cope with everyone going on around her.
Next week, Abi knocks back a slug just as Peter arrives, stuffing it down the side of the sofa she insists to Peter she didn’t take anything from the hospital.

Seemingly satisfied Peter leaves but Abi is furious when she realises the morphine has gone, leading to a confrontation between the pair.
Peter tells Abi she needs to get help, and they decide to get to a meeting together to get on top of her addiction.
Meanwhile, their closeness sparks suspicion from Debbie Webster and Carla Connor, who both think that Abi has ulterior motives.
Debbie confronts Abi and warns her to stay away from Peter, telling her not to mess her brother Kevin around.

As a desperate Abi tries her best not to relapse, could she be about to meet a tragic ending as Carla and Debbie interfere with her recovery?
According to Buzz Bingo, Coronation Street is the highest soap for death by drug overdose, along with EastEnders.
Both soaps have had four deaths by overdose, with Corrie airing Janet Barlow, Cormac Truman, and Jenny Butler’s death.
Meanwhile, EastEnders aired the iconic overdose deaths of characters such as Nick Cotton and Peggy Mitchell.
In comparison, Emmerdale has had three drug deaths, including Chris Tate and Alice Dingle.
