Tina and Mikey couldn’t make any contact during the tense filming, and it’s been revealed the dramatic storyline results in tragic consequences.

Sarah Platt runs out into the road on the cobbles after finally discovering that her ex, Gary Windass, is a killer.

He quickly pushes her out of the way of the moving vehicle which results in him being hit by the car instead.

Tina said: “The mannequin was dressed the same as me with a wig. But she was a lot taller and slimmer so they chopped her feet off with a saw. And her head came off!”

She joked: “My husband said I should bring her home as she’d be a lot less aggro than me.”

Mikey said: “I’ve never done a car stunt like this before. I loved it.

“But acting with a dummy version of Tina was not as good as the real thing.”
