DJ Fat Tony shares horrifying throwback snap in the midst of drug addiction

DJ Fat Tony looked unrecognisable in a terrifying throwback snap in the midst of his battle with drug addiction.

The famous party DJ, real name Tony Marnach, posted two pictures on social media, the snaps taken almost 14 years apart.

The first photograph was taken in the midst of his addiction battle while the second showed a present day snap as he spoke to his fans about his recovery.

Tony, who is pals with the likes of Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham and Elton John, shared the snaps with his 154,000 followers on Instagram.

He captioned the post with an inspiring and empowering message, telling his followers that things “can only get better”.

The music legend said: “The picture on the left is me 14 years ago lost in addiction the picture on the right is 13 and a half years later in recovery proof that when you feel that things can’t get any worse they can only get better x.”

Tony’s fans rushed to leave a comment on the inspiring post, showering the DJ with praise and love.

One said: “Absolutely amazing.”

While another penned: “Wow! What a transformation very inspirational.”

“What a transformation. You must be so proud of yourself,” added a third.

A fourth typed: “Jesus Christ… this post just stopped me scrolling. Such an incredible transformation. Such an inspiration. X”

He even received some messages of support from his A-lister friends.

Elton John wrote: “An inspiration to us all,” added applause emojis to the end of his comment.

DJ Fat Tony revealed that he had used drugs for decades and at one point, and his weight had dropped to just 7 stone.

He recalled some years back: “There wasn’t a day that went by in 28 years that I wasn’t on drugs – I’d lived many more years high than I had clean.”

The DJ has turned his life around and is now sober. He’s worked with incredible artist while becoming an advocate for charities supporting those battling addiction.
