EastEnders may not be on our screens as often due to the coronavirus outbreak halting filming, but there’s no sign of the drama slowing down anytime soon in Albert Square.
The BBC One soap has dropped a brand new trailer previewing what’s to come this week.
With Tuesday’s episode ending with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) handing himself in to the police, the advert shows the hard man lying in a prison cell.
Meanwhile, Ritchie Scott returns to help Phil and informs Ben (Max Bowen) that his dad has confessed to causing the boat crash.
Elsewhere in Albert Square, mischievous Dotty Cotton (Milly Zero) continues to blackmail Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) but it appears her threats no longer work, as the businessman refuses to listen to her demands.
The 36-second clip also shows the aftermath of Mick (Danny Dyer) and Linda Carter’s (Kellie Bright) decision to sell the Queen Vic.
The husband and wife duo decided to sell the pub during the latest episode, but the pair are taken aback when their decision spreads around the Square.
The footage shows an angry Tina asking her brother Mick whether he’s “actually selling” in front of punters in a packed pub.
The teaser trailer left fans of the BBC One soap on the edge of their seats.
One EastEnders viewer penned: “Looks like another great Monday and Tuesday. Can’t wait!”
And a second posted: “Please can we have a trailer every week?”
A third gushed: “Can’t wait.”
It was announced recently that the production of EastEnders had to shut down amid the coronavirus outbreak.
In an effort to ensure the soap remains on our screens for as long as possible, weekly episodes have been reduced from four to two until further notice.
EastEnders will air on Mondays and Tuesdays for the foreseeable future.
Eastenders continues on Monday on BBC One at 8pm.
