Emmerdale fans perplexed as they spot huge house blunder in lockdown episode

Emmerdale fans were left scratching their heads during tonight’s next special lockdown edition of the soap.

The episode followed couple Nicola and Jimmy King as they attempted to get used to life in lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic.

However, eagle-eyed viewers spotted a blunder as they realised the married pair were staying at Laurel’s place.

They were perplexed as it wasn’t explained why Nicola and Jimmy were staying there, and where Laurel and her son Arthur were.

One said: “What is Nicola and Jimmy doing in Laurel’s house?”

While another wrote: “So let me get this straight-If Jimmy and Nicola (and the kids) are at Laurel’s during the lockdown, are Laurel and Arthur spending lockdown with The Sharma’s?

A third added: “Why are Jimmy & Nicola staying at Laurel’s for lockdown? This makes no sense!”

“Jimmy and Nicola in lockdown in Laurel’s house, why?,” tweeted a fourth.

Viewers also realised there was tension between the pair as Nicola came to the conclusion that she wasn’t happy with her life, even before lockdown.

Speaking ahead of the drama, actress Nicola Wheeler teased: “I think Nicola is doing a little bit of life assessment.

“When every day is the same you start looking at your life and there’s a scene in the episode where she says ‘when lockdown ends and everything goes back to normal, I’m going to be still doing the same thing.”

She added: “I think what’s become apparent for her is that nothing’s changed much apart from not being able to go out.

“She’s reevaluating her life and what she’s doing.

“She starts to get a bit sad as she realises she has nothing much to look forward to once lockdown ends.”

Emmerdale continues on Monday at 7pm on ITV
