Gigi Hadid’s father has appeared to let slip the model has given birth to her first child with One Direction heartthrob Zayn Malik.
Mohamed Hadid tonight shared an emotional handwritten message on his social media gushing about how his “heart is happy as can be.”
The property tycoon and retired Olympian ‘s heartfelt letter, which begins with “Hello little grandchild”, comes just days after Gigi hinted she was awaiting the arrival of her “cupcake”.
The 25-year-old revealed in April that she was expecting a baby with 1D singer Zayn, 27, after the pair rekindled their romance following a two-year break.
In an emotional post, Mohamed gushed: “Grandpa’s heart. Hello little grandchild, it is me, my heart is happy as can be.

“I wish for you the sun and moon. I wish for you a happy time.”
He added: “Know that grandpa’s always near, I’ll do anything, anything for you my dear.
The note appears to end with: “When I heard you were on the way, I smiled and wiped a tear away. I cried the tear because I knew my heart would always belong to you.”
After being inundated with messages, Mohamed’s post has now been disabled but fans and friends of the family quickly penned their messages of congratulations.
Actress Conchita Leeflang commented: “T his is amazing Congratulations, Mohamed.”
While one fan added: “ God bless this beautiful family. May their baby have a wonderful life ahead.”

A second commented: “This is the most tender and heartfelt letter I’ve ever read. May God continue to bless you and your entire family, Grandpa Hadid. Welcome to the world, Grandchild 3.”
“This is the cutest ever Masha’Allah. May Allah bless you and your family @mohamedhadid,” penned a third.
“Congratulations to the family! She literally will be surrounded with the best people. She’s so blessed!!” exclaimed a fourth doting fan.

Gigi kept her pregnancy under-wraps during the lockdown period, only addressing it on a few occasions.
The Tommy Hilfiger model revealed she didn’t want to over publicise it due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
She had hinted in August that she was 33 weeks pregnant, meaning the arrival of her child was due in a matter of weeks.
