Harry Potter actress Jessie Cave has given birth to a baby boy, after enduring a challenging delivery.
The proud mum, 33, broke the happy news in a detailed Instagram post, branding the experience as “extreme” as she recovered in hospital.
Jessie revealed the baby was currently in the neonatal unit, saying: “Our baby boy was born in the early hours yesterday morning just 40 mins after my waters were broken. Slightly extreme but so were his kicks throughout the pregnancy!”
Named Abraham “Bam” Benjamin, Jessie let fans know the newborn babe was “strong” as specialist nurses tucked him under their wing.
She continued: “This has been a very different experience to my first two births… much more humbling, terrifying and out of my control. We are currently in the neo natal unit but he’s a strong boy and it’s the safest place for him right now.

“The midwives (Magda & Daisy) and the doctors and neo natal nurses have been amazing (our first one to welcome us into the ward was named Rosaria and she was extremely comforting). Thank you for all the cosmic well wishes.”
Jessie rose to fame as the whimsical Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter film series, landing the coveted role in 2007.
The actress, who became an acclaimed comedian after her rise to prominence in the fantasy film series, is in a relationship with fellow comic Alfie Brown.

Jessie and Alfie are already proud parents to two little ones – their son, Donnie, was born in 2014, and their daughter Margot is four.
Thanking her long-term partner for his love and support throughout the delivery, Jessie said: “Thank you to @alfiebrowncomedian for being so wonderful (again) and taking this picture in the seconds after he was born and just moments before he was wheeled away out of our arms…
“Honestly one of the hardest moments of my life…. hopefully he will be with us soon and it will be even more perfect. And BIG LOVE AND RESPECT for all the mothers who’ve experienced the neonatal unit before us, along with us.”
Announcing her pregnancy back in July, Jessie shared a photo of herself cradling her baby bump, adding the tongue-in-cheek caption: “Oops I did it again.”
Just as witty, her partner Alfie broke the news with his social media followers by writing: “I’m very happy to announce my forthcoming vasectomy.”
Another major Harry Potter star, Rupert Grint, similarly welcomed a little one to his family earlier this year, after long-term partner Georgia Groome gave birth to a baby girl.
