Many of us grew up adoring the five characters who bought Scooby Doo to life, including a talking Great Dane.
Scooby Doo, his best pal Shaggy Rogers and their friends Fred Jones, Daphne Blake and Velma Dinkley made it their life’s mission to track down monsters and unmask them.
Driving around in their groovy Mystery Machine, the fivesome unmasked a number of criminals, pretending to be monsters to scare people.
But Scooby Doo was truly bought to life in 2002 when Scooby Doo The Movie was released with live actors and left its animation show behind (except for Scooby, of course).
At the time, the cast was dubbed “perfect” for each role as Neil Fanning, Matthew Lillard, Freddie Prinze Jr, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Linda Cardellini took over from the original voice-overs.
But where are they now? Daily Star Online has found out where those pesky kids are these days…

The now 52-year-old stepped in to play the voice-over of the beloved Scooby Doo, a talking Great Dane who loved nothing more than a Scooby Snack.
Neil is most famous for being the leading voice for the 2002 film and for voicing Scooby in Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed.
The Australian actor went on to be in over 50 movies, TV shows and commercial roles, mainly appearing as a stuntman.
Among his stunt credits are Daybreakers, The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course, and Ghost Ship.
The single dad-of-three also wrote and created The Brodie And Dad Show, a comedy Podcast of skits and stories with multiple voices and characters performed with his son Brodie that reached Number 3 on iTunes in 2010.
Neil is currently a Precision Drift Stunt Driver for Showtime Entertainment in the Hollywood Stunt Driver 2 Show – Inner City Rush, at Warner Bros. Movie World and is actively involved in the film and television industry.

The star behind Shaggy went on to have continued success with the franchise, until recently.
Matthew, 50, starred in both live action films as Scooby’s best pal and after the second film wrapped he continued playing the voiceover of Shaggy for the animation after Casey Kasem retired from the role in 2009.
For almost 11 years he has been the man behind Shaggy’s voice, but last year Matthew was left feeling hurt after he discovered he had been dropped from starring as Shaggy in the upcoming movie Scoob!
The film is set to be released in May, and Matthew claims he found out on Twitter that he had been dropped from the role.
Retweeting a tweet announcing that Will Forte will take over as Shaggy, Matthew hit out.
He tweeted in response: “Well this sucks. What a cr*ppy was to find out… thanks Hollywood. You never cease to amaze me.”
Sarah Michelle Gellar (Daphne Blake)

Perhaps one of the only stars who was already globally famous before starring in the Scooby Doo movies it’s no surprise she has continued to be featured in a number of movie credits.
Sarah, 42, who played Buffy Summers in the Warner Bros series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003), starred in the Scooby Doo films alongside her husband Freddie Prinze Jr, who played her love interest Fred Jones.
She met her future husband while they were filming the 1997 teen horror film I Know What You Did Last Summer, but the two did not begin dating until 2000.
They were engaged in April 2001 and married in Mexico on September 1, 2002.
After the Scooby Doo films the pair remained together and went on to have two children a daughter born in 2009 and a son born in 2012.

The now 44-year-old heartthrob lives in Los Angeles with his wife and co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar (Daphne Blake) and their two children.
Following his success playing lead man Fred, Freddie went on to gain a recurring role in the hit television show Friends.
He starred as Ross and Rachel’s over-emotional nanny called Sandy, who was fired by the pair.
Freddie also starred in Boston Legal (2004), Freddie (2005–06) and 24 (2010), and voiced Kanan Jarrus in the Disney XD series Star Wars Rebels.
Linda Cardellini (Velma Dinkley)

She rose to fame donning that famous orange jumper and she has gone on to have success in the Marvel Cinematic Universe ever since.
When the films came out, fans couldn’t believe how stunning Linda was in real life when she wasn’t dressed up as Velma and her “glow up” went viral.
Since then, the now 44-year-old has starred in the period drama Mad Men (2013-2015), for which she received an Emmy Award nomination.
She also had supporting roles in Brokeback Mountain (2005), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Green Book (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
Linda has also starred in the drama Return (2011), earning an Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead nomination, the comedies Daddy’s Home (2015) and Daddy’s Home 2 (2017), and the horror film The Curse of La Llorona (2019).
In October 2011, Linda and her boyfriend Steven Rodriguez announced her pregnancy.
She gave birth to their daughter in February 2012, and the pair became engaged in June 2013.
