Gemma Collins and James Argent have called time on their on/off relationship, following another explosive bust-up.
It is certainly no secret that the longstanding TOWIE stars have had their fair share of blazing arguments during the nine-year period since they first met on the Essex-based reality TV programme.
Being in the public eye has meant that many of their turbulent episodes have been splashed over the headlines for all to witness.
On numerous occasions, the pair have managed to put aside any bad feelings and rekindle their explosive relationship – that is until now.
It has been reported that the 39-year-old Diva Forever Star ended things once and for all after Arg, 32, had allegedly asked for an “open relationship”.

This reportedly did not sit well with Gemma, who was said to be heartbroken after she’d stuck by James during his lowest moments, hoping they’d eventually settle down and start a family together.
Glancing back on the couple’s relationship, which began in 2011, there have been many break-ups and make-ups, often leaving them both in limbo.
Quite early on in their romance, the pair faced a number of roadblocks, starting with Arg being snapped leaving Faces nightclub in Essex with two girls and his on-screen partner in crime Mark Wright.

As the pictures emerged, so did a heartbroken Gemma, who took to Twitter to slam her significant other, saying: “You slept with someone else last night you disgust me you cheat.”
James and GC quickly swept the red-faced display under the carpet and the tweets were quickly deleted as the pair rekindled the very next day.
In 2012, Gemma and the apple of her eye, found themselves in a rough patch once more, after it had become apparent that Arg had been talking badly about her to some of his chums.
Not one to shy away from conflict, Gemma slipped into a black swimsuit and strutted her stuff over to Arg at the pool party, famously telling him: “You’ve been going around discussing what happened between us.

“Well let me tell you something now, you don’t ever disrespect a girl like that again. Take a good look at this, you ain’t ever gonna get this candy!”
She concluded by spanking her own bum with attitude before waltzing off on the popular TOWIE episode.
After the TOWIE lot returned from Marbella, the couple went their separate ways for four years, with Gemma dating a number of men including Stephen Mortimer and Arg rekindling a romance with his childhood sweetheart Lydia Bright.
But in 2016, James and Lydia’s rocky relationship came to a crashing halt after a stormy argument broke out, and the pair went their separate ways again.

Lydia and Arg debated reigniting once more, however, the news then broke that he’d slept with ex Gemma Collins after they had broken up.
Arg was left single once again.
Fast forward to 2017 and the TOWIE Crimbo special after Arg had done some serious reflection, he delivered a warm speech in front of his entire cast declaring his love for Gemma.
The pair appeared to be love’s young dream, with things seemingly going swimmingly, that was until their next break up, which happened shortly after and lasted for nine months.

A huge fight erupted after James had taken to Instagram to share a video of Gemma asleep and snoring.
The snippet was aired for an hour before it was removed but for Gem, the damage had already been done and once again they called it a day.
At the time of the clip, a number of Arg’s text messages surfaced in the media, that read: “You are a fat joke of a woman. An absolute car crash! You’re nearly 40 f***ing years old, you embarrassment.”
In reply to Gemma’s message about leaving her at home, he wrote: “You fat horrible lump. Nasty, mean woman.”

After the very public ordeal, the pair did manage to put it all behind them, until October 2019 when Gemma was forced to dial 999 after she had feared he had taken an overdose, with the police having to force entry into his North East London home.
The pair cut ties again after Arg refused to head to rehab. However he did later admit to his demons and spent ten weeks seeking needed expert help.
After revealing his addiction battle, now sober and five stone lighter, Arg seemed like a new man and it appeared as though he and Gemma would finally have the fairytale ending.

However, after the alleged open relationship debacle this week, it appears the pair are over for good.
Gemma also shared an since-deleted text exchange between the pair on her Instagram page, in which Arg called her “a fat f***” and a “hippo”.
MalOnline reported on Wednesday evening that Gemma has apologised to Arg for sharing the messages publicly.
Gemma’s rep offered no comment when contacted by Daily Star Online, while Arg’s rep is yet to respond.
