Jesy Nelson and Chris Hughes split after 16-month romance

Jesy Nelson and Chris Hughes have reportedly split up after a 16-month romance.

According to The Sun, the Little Mix songstress and Love Island star have called it quits while isolating in separate homes amid the coronavirus lockdown.

The pair are said to still be friends and on good terms though.

A source told the publication: “Jesy and Chris split up a couple of weeks ago. It was all very amicable and they’re still really good friends.

“They had a chat on the phone about their relationship and both agreed that it felt like it had run its course – they’re both absolutely fine.”

Reps for Jesy and Chris have been contacted by Daily Star Online.

The split comes only a week after Little Mix released their latest single Break Up Song.

Yesterday Jesy, 28, was seen sharing sexy snaps of herself sunbathing at home in a pink bikini online during the lockdown.

It’s claimed her and Chris, 27, haven’t seen each other “in ages” due to deadly Covid-19 pandemic.

Jesy recently confessed she chose not to isolate with Chris in lockdown. Instead the islander has been staying with his flatmate.

She recently told Australian newspaper The Sunday Telegraph: “Chris isn’t with me right now because he is in isolation with his flatmate, so I haven’t seen him for a while.”

But at the time she claimed there was no issues between them, adding: “My love life is fine and dandy.”

Chris, who formerly dated fellow islander Olivia Attwood, recently slammed a troll who messaged him on Twitter pretending to be Jesy.

He shared the message to his 514k followers, which said: “Morning babe,” along with “babe come on and chat with me” 10 hours later.

Chris shared the direct message and sarcastically captioned the post: “Okay this is odd. Imagine believing I might fall for this being my actual girlfriend.

“‘Oh yeah hi babe, sorry expected you to text me not message me on Twitter, this is different but how you doing, you okay?”
