Jo Wood has said her brother did die from coronavirus as she shared a conspiracy theory that the disease escaped from a laboratory.

The model’s brother Paul Karslake, 61, died on Monday after he was rushed to hospital with breathing difficulties.

And Jo, who is the former wife of The Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, last night confirmed her brother was suffering from Covid-19.

The 63-year-old wrote on Twitter: “So it was COVID that took my brothers life on Monday… a deadly virus that escaped from a lab and it’s affected the whole world.. this can’t happen again it’s messed up! #banthiss**t #timeforchange.”

The tweet comes after Jo shared an emotional tribute to her artist brother on Instagram after his death.

A statement on Paul’s Instagram page confirmed he had been taken to hospital with breathing difficulties.

“The family have also asked that you try not to go to Paul’s workshop as it is shut and in this current time it is dangerous to gather with the guidelines for self isolation.

“It is however appreciated how much he was loved.

“Paul was a fantastic husband, a wonderful father, an amazing family man and an excellent friend to all. He is now at peace.”
