Liam Gallagher in the running to be James Bond after speaking out on role

Liam Gallagher may not be able to get his brother Noel Gallagher to join him for an Oasis but if rumours are to be believed he could be in line for an even pay day.

Bookies Coral are offering odds of 100-1 that the hard man is in line to be the next James Bond.

Daniel Craig is set to hang up his hat as the iconic British spy after the upcoming 007 film No Time Do Die.

The film has been delayed until the end of the year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Talking about the role, Liam, 47, said: “I’d be a mega Bond. The new James Bond one, it’s all about dying, innit.

“Die not next week, can’t be a**** dying today, might die f****** next month, there’s a lot of death going on. But you know they can give us a call, why not?”

But while fans of the thriller can place their money on Liam bagging the role, Coral think tat James Norton is the most likely to be cast as Bond.

The actor has odds of just 2-1 to take on the role making him the favourite while Richard Madden is a close second with odds of 3-1.

Richard found him linked countless times to the top job after his impressive portrayal of David Budd in BBC hit Bodyguard.

“Liam Gallagher may think he has all the right tools to play James Bond, however, we don’t expect James Bond is going to have a Mancunian twist any time soon,” said Coral’s John Hill.

Hill added: “James Norton has been our favourite to replace Daniel Craig for a number of weeks now as he ticks all the right boxes to play 007,” added Hill.
