Lorraine Kelly fumes at Dominic Cummings' 'breathtaking arrogance' in fiery rant

Lorraine Kelly was left raging on today’s Good Morning Britain as she spoke about the Dominic Cummings scandal.

The 60-year-old didn’t hold back as she fumed at the Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s senior advisor and his lack of apology after his controversial actions.

GMB conducted a poll on whether Boris Johnson should have sacked Cummings and 80% said he should have been fired.

Lorraine said she wasn’t surprised at the result and then revealed her anger as she said: “What I think is really shocking about it – no apology! The arrogance is breathtaking.”

GMB presenter Ben Shephard agreed, saying: “A blanket refusal to accept what has happened here… it might not look great.”

Lorraine responded: “Do they not think that when the spin doctor becomes the story that it’s time to go?

“That’s always been the case in the past but clearly not now. And I can clearly understand why people are so angry.”

Viewers of today’s episode of Good Morning Britain were frustrated that Piers wasn’t on the show to grill the government about the scandal.

Ben Shephard and Charlotte Hawkins hosted the ITV show today instead of Piers and his co-host Susanna Reid – as the presenting duo and the show’s expert Dr Hilary Jones have taken a week off.

Fans flocked to Twitter, saying they wished Piers was there as they “needed” him amid the Cummings scandal.

One said: “If ever there was a day when @piersmorgan should be on it is today.”

While another wrote: “I never thought I’d ever say this but this is one of the days I would have loved to see Piers Morgan on GMB.”

“No offence to either of those on the desk, but if you ever actually needed Piers Morgan giving it both barrels and then some, today is one of those days…” tweeted a third GMB fan.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV
