Meghan Markle branded a 'B-list actress ill-prepared for the global spotlight'

Meghan Markle has been branded a “B-list actress” who was insufficiently prepared for life in the global spotlight when she decided to marry Prince Harry, a royal commentator has claimed.

The royal commentator alleged Meghan, who has featured in numerous films and TV shows, was “ill-prepared for the centre of global stardom”.

The 38-year-old found fame on US TV show Suits, though wasn’t a household name before her relationship with Prince Harry.

Royal commentator Katie Nicholl claimed that despite her love for red carpets and showbiz events, Meghan’s time in the spotlight wouldn’t have helped her at all when it came to joining the British Royal Family.

The royal ace told 9Honey: “I think what she encountered was almost impossible to prepare for and certainly her experience as a B-List actress wasn’t going to stand her in [good] stead.

“As an actress, she was used to being photographed but she’s said herself there was this suggestion that she would be able to handle the press attention and find her way in the spotlight because of her previous experience.

Katie alleged that despite her brush with fame, it wouldn’t have given her a solid foundation for her to become the “most famous woman in the world”.

“Whereas actually, I think what she encountered was almost impossible to prepare for and certainly her experience as a B-list actress wasn’t going to stand her in [good] stead for suddenly becoming the most famous woman in the world.

“It became very apparent from that documentary in Africa, that perhaps while she made it look easy, it obviously wasn’t easy.”

Meghan and Prince Harry, who, earlier this year, announced they would be stepping down as senior royals, have since relocated to LA with their one-year-old son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.

The couple are believed to have been residing in a Beverly Hills £14.5million villa that belongs to Hollywood actor Tyler Perry since March.

Sitting on 22 acres on the top of a hill, the Tuscan-style villa boasts eight bedrooms, 12 bathrooms and offers panoramic views of the city.
