Michelle Mone revealed she would often eat McDonald’s fast food three times a day, as she battled her inner demons.
The 48-year-old lingerie tycoon opened up about her weight loss this week, having grown to love and nurture her body after “abusing” it for years.
In an interview with New magazine, the Baroness reflected on her struggles over the years, admitting that she battled feelings of depression at her low point.
She said: “I used to go to McDonald’s two or three times a day.
“It made me depressed and almost cost me my life.
“You could not pay me a million pounds to go into McDonald’s now.”

The businesswoman, who founded the lingerie company Ultimo, added: “I abused myself for many years. It’s an illness and it got me into a very bad state.”
Turning her life around, Michelle decided to improve her relationship with food, losing six dress sizes along the way.
Motivating the weight loss, the Scottish mogul admitted to treating her body “like a business,” instead of cutting corners and giving up.

Michelle followed a diet plan made up of 29 rules in an effort to slim down, limiting her animal proteins and eating mostly “legumes, vegetables and a limited intake of fish”.
She added: “I VERY rarely eat sugar and try to avoid simple carbs and I don’t fry or batter anything…”
Michelle is currently planning her upcoming wedding with billionaire Doug Barrowman later this year, after a two-year engagement.

The sweethearts, whose first date was aboard Doug’s £30m superyacht, live together at her home on the Isle of Man.
Michelle’s first marriage to ex-husband Michael Mone ended in 2011, with the couple sharing three children between them.
Speaking to her social media followers, Michelle shared her plans to stay in shape before walking down the aisle with Doug.
She said: “In the final weeks before my wedding I have really stepped up my game to get the body and mindset that I want.
“Yes it takes time, yes it takes determination, but like anything if you put your mind to it you can get results. This post is not a sales pitch just me being real and completely honest with you guys…
“I don’t follow anyone else’s diet or regime or have anything to sell, but I just love to inspire people and show that anything is possible…”
