Nabil Abdulrashid is the final Britain’s Got Talent semi-final winner.
The comedian was crowned the winner of Saturday’s (October 3) show after tackling racism in his stand-up routine.
Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Ashley Banjo all opted to put Nabil through.
David said: “This was the toughest it’s ever been because all three of these acts deserve to be in the final.
“But I do feel a connection with this person because I feel like they took a lot of risks coming out here tonight and doing what they did.
“I think they can have a huge, huge future after this show. It’s Nabil.”
Alesha added: “Tonight by far has been the toughest, I just want you guys to know that. But the act that I would like to see in the final is Nabil.”
While Ashley said: “Talented, creative, took risks, different – it applies to all of you. But there was one act that just connected with me and I think was super-relevant and that’s Nabil.”
As Nabil realised he had won, he shouted “South London,” as he then added to hosts Ant and Dec: “It’s not just for me man, there’s a lot of people I represent.”
Amanda said she would have gone for unicyclist Wesley Williams, however it didn’t matter as Nabil was already through before Ant and Dec had chance to hear her decision.
During Nabil’s act, he said that he tells jokes about “our lives as they matter”.
His routine saw him highlight racism as he claims he “acquires bodyguards” in supermarkets, joking: “I don’t even pay for it”.
Nabil, who was Alesha’s Golden Buzzer act, also joked about how his ‘white liberal left-wing friend’ told him to ‘forget he was black’ so that he wouldn’t be subjected to racism.
