Niall Horan has confirmed that he has finally teamed up with Scottish singer-songwriter pal Lewis Capaldi for a collaboration.
After teasing fans for months, Niall revealed on an Instagram live session that he will be joining Lewis in the virtual studio this week.
Former One Direction singer Niall, 26, added that he and Lewis, 23, have been spending time together on Saturday nights, having a few drinks on Zoom, and have planned to use the video calling site to pen new music together over the next few days.
During an Instagram live yesterday morning, the Nice To Meet Ya singer spoke of Capaldi, saying: “I didn’t see him this weekend.

“We usually have a few drinks on a Saturday night but we didn’t chat this weekend.”
Niall added: “I think I’m writing with him at some point this week. We have a little schedule going.”
This news is sure to send shockwaves through both fanbases after Niall was forced to cancel his upcoming headline tour due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Lewis was set to support his Celtic pal on the tour, opening up for him on several dates.
The pair have previously worked together on a track last year but it has not been released.
Speaking in October 2019, Lewis said: “We did do a song together. I love it. I don’t know if it will come out, I hope it will. I really, really need the money.”

Niall recently teamed up with the likes of Hozier and Andrea Corr for a social media message urging fans to “unite by staying apart”.
The project, that was the brainchild of Niall, featured several of Ireland’s biggest exports filming a message in their homes as governments across the world continue to implement lockdown measures due to the pandemic.
This year is also set to be a huge one for Niall who is said to be gearing up with his former bandmates to celebrate their 10th anniversary.
Daily Star Online revealed in January that One Direction were set to reunite later this year with all four members having clear diaries at the same time.
Liam Payne recently revealed that he, Niall, Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles had engaged in FaceTime discussions about their upcoming milestone.
However, it seems as though Zayn Malik will not be joining the What Makes You Beautiful hitmakers.
