Paloma Faith to swerve The Voice to debut new song during The Greatest Dancer final

Paloma Faith will debut her brand new comeback single Mistakes with Jonas Blue on The Greatest Dancer final, the rival series to her former talent show home of The Voice UK.

In what could be seen as a move of solidarity to support the BBC, Paloma has decided to swerve ITV’s version of The Voice UK in favour of Cheryl’s ever-popular dance series.

Paloma has also decided not to perform on ITV’s Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway this weekend either.

Paloma famously jumped ship from The Voice UK in 2016 coinciding with ITV snatching the series from the BBC after five successful series of the show.

A source told Daily Star Online: “Paloma and Jones’ new single is called Mistakes and is out on Friday but it’s been kept under lock and key.

“She’s been working on new music for a few years so this is set to be her big comeback.

“She will perform the track on The Greatest Dancer final in a week’s time.”

The insider added: “The fact Paloma has decided to give her debut live performance to The Voice UK’s rival on the BBC and not ITV will no doubt ruffle a few feathers, especially as she was a judge on the show for so long.

“At the end of the day it’s simply business and Paloma’s new track is being released on the same day as Lady Gaga’s comeback single as well as Justin Timberlake’s new song so she will need all the exposure she can to take them on in the charts.”

Over the past few weeks, Greatest Dancer has enjoyed steady growth when it comes to the all important battle for ratings.

The music video for Paloma and Jones’ new track has been filmed by her longtime director Thomas James.

Chatting to Daily Star Online about how his collaboration came about, Jonas told Daily Star Online: “Generally I just get in contact with the person with a WhatsApp or at events etc.

“I’m like I love your music, do you want to do something?

“It doesn’t have to just be once that you work with someone. I’ve managed to work with some amazing artists so why not do more songs.”
