Paul O'Grady says horse tried to have sex with him during Cinderella pantomime

Paul O’Grady has revealed a randy horse tried to have sex with him on stage.

The Lily Savage comedian, 65, told how a pony fell for his charms as he starred as the fairy godfather in Cinderella.

He said the panto crowd in Birmingham roared with laughter at the frisky beast.

Paul said: “I had to get into bed with a horse.

“This horse took a shine to me and he followed me everywhere.

“He was a beautiful horse.”

Paul added: “The audience were laughing and screaming because the horse had an erection.

“It was trained to lie down on the bed with me.

“I was so tempted to say all sorts but I couldn’t.

“I just had to try and ignore it but the audience were screaming and laughing.

“It happened nearly every show.”

He admitted he had second thoughts about starring in the role.

Paul said: “I had fairy wings on as well and these things came round my face and I had this randy horse and I was lying there thinking ‘why am I doing this?’”

He spoke about his starring role back in 2015 on ex-Corrie star Sherrie Hewson’s online chat show Wonderbirds.

He added: “I’m an ordinary person who does an extra ordinary job in television and theatre.”

The star has been forced to self-isolate after getting a bout of coronavirus.

He has been spending time looking back over the years and posting the snapshots on Instagram.

Paul even found a picture of him dressed up as a cop.

In the caption, he said: “The things you find when you go rooting in a drawer you haven’t opened in years.

“This is so old it should be sepia but it was taken when I was filming The Bill.

“I was in the make up room and they put the hat on me to see if I’d make a good copper.

“I don’t think so somehow.”
