Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan showed his support for his favourite West London cafe as he popped in for a cup of coffee – but was quickly branded a hypocrite from his online followers.
The TV host, who has criticised the Government’s handling of the coronavirus crisis, started his Saturday at Cafe Phillies in Kensington, and quickly documented his time in his favourite eatery on Instagram.
In the snap, the father-of-four was all smiles as he held up a cup of coffee as the table in front of him was covered in papers along with his laptop.
In his caption, Piers, who was supporting the venue in the coronavirus pandemic, wrote: “Finally back in my second office!

“It’s been a long four months … never has a coffee tasted better.”
However, he was quickly criticised by his thousands of followers, and users vented their frustration in the comment section of the snap.
One wrote: “Thought you were so against everything opening up. Hypocrisy.”

“Spent the last four month spouting about how deadly Covid is. Now back as if it didn’t happen,” another remarked.
But it wasn’t all doom and gloom as one wrote: “You look genuinely very happy! Enjoy and thank you for being so brilliant on GMB.”
The snap comes after Piers slammed the government for allowing pubs to reopen on Saturday at 6am.
He called the move “stupefyingly stupid” for boozers given the green light to fling open their doors in the early hours of the morning – the first time in three months.
Piers soon vented his frustration on Twitter, writing: “Reopening Britain’s pubs on a sunny Saturday in July was dumb enough.
“Letting them open from 6am is stupefyingly stupid.”
