Piers Morgan has revealed he is “proud” of his son, Stanley, who recently took to the streets of London to join a Black Lives Matter protest.
The Good Morning Britain star, 55, said that his 22-year-old son found the event “profoundly inspiring.”
Piers also added that Stanley, a budding actor ensured he kept to social distancing “as best as he could” while taking part.
London saw thousands of people take to the streets in aid of Black Lives Matter following the death of George Floyd, an innocent black man who died at the hands of Minnesota police officers.
Star Wars actor John Boyega also attended the demonstration giving what has been hailed as “one of the most moving experiences,” Stanley has experienced.

Taking to Twitter, Piers said: “Proud of my son for attending the #BlackLivesMatter protest which he found profoundly inspiring.
“He told me he maintained social distancing as best he could in the large crowd. Not easy given many others weren’t, but I’m glad he tried.”
Stanley also shared the article with a link to a video raising funds for the Black Lives Matter movement.

Alongside the clip, he said: “Seeing this in person was one of the most moving experiences of my life. But feeling is not enough.
“Action is the only way we can truly stand up and fix the pain and misery we have caused. Please educate, donate, sign petitions, vote NOW.”
Piers had earlier claimed that had Madeleine McCann been black, her disappearance would have received a lot less coverage.

Madeleine famously vanished while on holiday with her family in Portugal 13 years ago, aged three.
While discussing the recent protests, the former newspaper editor said: “The blanket coverage today of this Madeleine McCann development in all the papers, some papers doing ten pages before they get to any reference to the Hyde Park protests yesterday, for example, it seemed to me as an example actually, of unwitting subliminal decision-making.

“I do not think that decision would have been taken if Madeleine McCann had been a black girl, I just don’t.”
He added: “I don’t think it would have galvanised the same attention or attracted the same media attention in such a huge amount so many years after her disappearance.”
