Piers Morgan has blasted Prime Minister Boris Johnson following images of a packed Bournemouth Beach.
Earlier this week, the Prime Minister informed the nation he would be gradually easing the lockdown by re-opening restaurants and pubs on July 4, and insisted socially distanced measures must be put in place.
“Our long hibernation is beginning to come to an end,” Johnson told the UK Parliament on Tuesday.
He urged “the British public to use their common sense in full knowledge of the risks” of the Covid-19 virus, and said: “From now on, we will ask people to follow guidance on social contact instead of legislation.”

However, with the lockdown measures drastically overhauled, images of a bustling Bournemouth Beach plagued the internet leaving Good Morning Britain host Piers fuming.
Tweeting a picture of the long stretch of sand covered with sun-thirsty Brits, Piers wrote: “‘I trust the British people to use their common sense’ – Boris Johnson as he took us out of lockdown.
“This is Bournemouth Beach.”
Despite being told to stay away, thousands of Brits flocked to Bournemouth Beach on the hottest day of the year so far.
“A major incident was declared” when hordes of people soaked up the sun, and BCP council said a multi-agency emergency response was sent out to tackle issues including violence and overcrowding.
On Thursday evening, Health Secretary Matt Hancock said the Government will shut down beaches if the problem persists.

Mr Hancock told TalkRadio: “Well, we do have that power.
“I am reluctant to use it because people have had a pretty tough lockdown.
“Everybody should be able to enjoy the sunshine. The key is to do it with respect. Stay with your households. Stay a good distance from other households.
“Outside is safer than inside. So, you have got to respect the rules. Respect the fact that social distancing is still important.
“We do have those powers – and if we see a spike in the number of cases, then we will take action.”
