Piers Morgan has shared a previously unseen snap of himself alongside Sir Cliff Richard taken 36 years ago.
The Good Morning Britain co-anchor looked unrecognisable during his days as a trainee journalist alongside singer Cliff, 80, who rocked a mullet and oversized aviator glasses.
Piers, 55, grilled Cliff as he appeared on his intense show, Piers Morgan’s Life Stories about the Take Me High singer’s record-breaking career and personal life.
However, before they commenced their interview, Piers revealed that he first met Cliff during the early stages of his career at the Wimbledon News, with Cliff being the first celebrity he interviewed.

Speaking about the black and white snap, Piers said: “Here we are! This is is 36 years ago.
“All I remember is that you were so warm, friendly, helpful to a young trainee journalist.”
He went on to address his career, telling Cliff: “So actually, you’re responsible for this!”
Cliff joked: “Don’t blame me.”

During the intimate chat, Cliff opened up about the racial abuse he suffered as a youngster at a South London school.
“I was dark-skinned at that time and they somehow knew I came from India, so they called me ‘Indi-bum’.
“I was always in fights in the playground,” he painfully recalled.
He went on to address the trauma he endured in 2014 after sexual abuse claims were made against him.

Speaking about the news, he said: “I was in a pit and didn’t know how to get out of it. I thought I could end up in prison as an innocent man.”
The charges were later dropped in 2016 but the singer went on to lose a staggering amount of weight, feared he was going to have a heart attack and was almost blinded due to stress-induced shingles.
Piers, known for grilling his guests, went on to question Cliff about how he has remained at the same weight since 1962, saying it is “incredible”.
“It’s not if you work hard at it,” replied Cliff.
Piers added: “I’m not even the same weight as I was in January!”
