Sharon Osbourne forced to quarantine after close relative catches coronavirus

Sharon Osbourne is currently in isolation after her granddaughter tested positive for the coronavirus.

The music manager appeared on CBS’ talk show, The Talk, from her Beverly Hills home via videolink after revealing she was unable to leave her home.

Sharon, 67, shared the news of the diagnosis with her co-stars on Monday’s show, telling them: “I was meant to be in the studio, I was so looking forward to it.”

The former X Factor judge went on to say: “And then, unfortunately, one of my granddaughters has come down with Covid.

“She’s okay; she’s doing good. I don’t have it.”

Kelly Osbourne’s mum continued, adding that her family were all in good health, including Minnie’s dad, Jack, who is living with multiple sclerosis.

“Her daddy doesn’t have it, her mummy doesn’t have it, her sisters don’t.

“She got it from somebody who works for my son. And it just goes to show you, she’s three years of age, that children can get covid,” she exclaimed.

The outspoken legend admitted that she was following relevant guidance issued by governments and health officials and was staying away from the studio.

“Oh my Lord, I want to see you guys so bad. I’ve got one more week left of quarantining and then I’m out.

“And as I say, I don’t have it. I keep testing negative, but, you know, you have to be safe,” she said.

Her co-host, comedian Sheryl Underwood joked: “Sharon, did Jack ask about me? He may need me to come and quarantine with him.”

According to Sharon, Jack was “equally as upset because he was planning on coming to the studio with me just to wish you good luck.”

The Osbourne’s coronavirus panic comes months after Sharon’s husband, Black Sabbath star Ozzy Osbourne admitted he was living with Parkinson’s disease.

“I’m not good at secrets. I cannot walk around with it anymore. I feel better now of owning up to the fact that I have a case of Parkinson’s,” revealed the Aston-born Prince of Darkness.
