Stacey Solomon quits social media ahead of Caroline Flack's funeral

Stacey Solomon has paid tribute to Caroline Flack ahead of the late star’s funeral today.

Joe Swash ‘s partner Stacey said she was quitting social media for the day as it “doesn’t feel right” in the circumstances.

The Loose Women star and mum-of-three shared a post on her Instagram page which read: “Today it doesn’t feel right to be on social media.

“So from me and the boys, we hope you have a good day.

“Hold your loved ones close, give them all of the cuddles you have in you and let them know how much you need them in your life.

“You never know when they really might need to know. Love you all.”

She added: “If you’re struggling with today, yesterday, the thought of tomorrow, please let someone know. Anyone.”

Stacey, 30, then shared the contact details of mental health charities and encouraged her followers to reach out for help if they needed it.”

The 38-year-old star, who went on to win last Sunday’s final, asked for the words “Be Kind” to be written onto a prop for his showdance.

Friends and family of former Love Island presenter Caroline Flack will gather today at her funeral to say their final goodbyes to the star.

Caroline passed away aged 40 on February 15th. An inquest ruled she took her own life at her Stoke Newington, north London home last month just one day after discovering that the CPS was pursing a case of assault against her.

Confirming her death, a statement from the Flack family read: “We can confirm that our Caroline passed away today on the 15th February.

“We would ask that the press respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time and we would ask they make no attempt to contact us and/or photograph us.”

Her death came weeks before she was due to stand trial in court on an assault charge following an incident with her boyfriend, Lewis Burton.

Caroline pleaded not guilty when she appeared before magistrates in December 2019.
