Former X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has taken to Instagram to apologise to Misha B after she was accused of racially bullying the singer while she competed on the talent show.
Misha B, 28, appeared on the ITV talent show back in 2011 and recently claimed that the producers backstage portrayed her as an “angry black girl.”
The Manchester-singer has since said that her time on the show left her feeling suicidal.
Taking to Instagram, Misha shared a video clip of Tulisa, 31, giving feedback after a performance by Misha, which saw the Sight Of You singer say: “You being so feisty can come across quite mean.”

Tulisa has since hit out saying claims her verbal attack was racially motivated is “ludicrous”.
Taking to her official Instagram page, Tulisa has said that she was in “defence mode” when she first addressed the claims.
In a statement, she said: “When I first posted a video it was more a reaction to online violent/death threats to myself and my family and people telling me to kill myself.

“It was on a massive scale and I jumped to defence mode,
“I sent Misha a separate message when I first posted that vid to apologise because my post was less about her and more an emotional reaction.”
She went on to say: “I fully acknowledge the pain I caused & fully accept people should be angry about it. I can state again there was nothing racial in my thought process. When I referred to Misha as being feisty and competitive that was a reflection in myself because I saw myself in Misha. We are both very strong women and when I communicate with people I always jump to what I have in common to find a basis to connect.

“However, I totally understand that it made Misha feel a certain way as a young black girl hearing it from a young white girl on a huge platform, living in the oppressed society we do, full of racial slurs and undertones not knowing my thought process,
“This I can only acknowledge, apologise for and hold my hands up and say I’m truly sorry. It was something I did not understand at the time. I made a mistake and I completely take on board how that mistake has been viewed.”
The former judge said that while she was on the show a contestant younger than Misha approached her crying over an “accusation/judgement Misha had expressed & later admitted to me,” after insisting that she needed to “call her out,” and be a “protector” Tulisa now admits that she went about it in an unprofessional manner.

“I let my emotions get in the way of my work and I didn’t stop to think of the consequences for you Misha, at the age of 18, immediate or long term,” she admitted.
Insisting that she hadn’t been given any guidance while working on “the most powerful platform in the industry,” she revealed that she wasn’t ready to take the responsibility.
Closing, she added that Misha had the right to be “angry and speak her truth,” after the singer posted an hour-long Instagram TV video clip.
