Nathan Jung, who appeared in Star Trek, The A-Team, and Starsky & Hutch has died aged 74.
Jung sadly passed away on April 24, his close friend and attorney Timothy Tau has confirmed to Variety.
Although his cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
He has been part of the movie business for decades, beginning his career in 1969 with his role as Gengis Khan in ‘The Savage Curtain’ episode of Star Trek: The Original Series.
After, he took advantage of his tall stature and took on roles from the biggest shows in the 1970s and 80s.
The six-foot-four actor appeared on M*A*S*H, Starsky & Hutch, General Hospital, and Manimal.

He also had roles in CHiPS, Riptide, and Hunter as well as Sanford and Son where he played Helen Funai’s cousin, Saburyo.
The actor had a stint in the iconic Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and Martial Law.
Due to his height he was usually cast in ‘heavy’ or ‘enforcer’ type roles during this career.
Jung, from California, was among the few stars to work alongside Bruce Lee and his son Brandon Lee.

He appeared opposite Bruce Lee on an episode of Here Comes the Brides in 1969.
Outside of blockbuster films he also appeared in independent Asian American films.
Jung also played Leslie Nielsen’s right-hand man in the 1993 comedy Surf Ninjas.
The star had an extensive career, appearing in at least 18 movies and 26 various roles across TV.
His friend Timothy Tau also tweeted about Jung’s career showcasing how long the star has been working as a professional actor.

He also paid tribute to him on his Facebook page, saying he was “truly larger than life”.
He calls him “the man, the myth, and the legend, who we miss dearly already.”
He said his friend was everywhere but also ‘invisible due to what Tau referred to as the ‘racist casting practices of Tinseltown’ which denied Jung ‘the capacity to be so much more’.
His final role was in 2016 where he served as the narrator for Tau’s ‘Nathan Jung V Bruce Lee’, a documentary short film recounting his meeting with Bruce Lee on Here Comes the Brides.
He is survived by his nephew, Keith Jung.
