AJ Pritchard’s girlfriend Abbie Quinnen has been spotted out in public for the first time since suffering burns in a horrific fireball accident.
The 23-year-old dancer suffered second-degree burns on her face and third-degree burns on her body, which would see her having three skin grafts after accidentally setting herself on fire when an Instagram stunt went wrong back in January.
She’d tried to cut a wine bottle in half using rope dipped in a flammable chemical, however the trick didn’t go to plan and the flaming bottle exploded.
It has been reported that Abbie has been anxious about leaving the house since the hack video went horribly wrong.
Supportive boyfriend AJ, 26, held her hand as they enjoyed a brisk walk over the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend.
Abbie wore a black bandage around her neck to protect her injuries as well as black cap.
She kept herself warm by wearing a chunky coat and a designer scarf, while former Strictly Come Dancing professional AJ donned a casual navy jacket and blue jeans for the stroll.
Abbie needed more than 20 hospital visits to treat her wounds and she has undergone three skin grafts, according to The Sun.
The nightmare unfolded as the couple filmed themselves using a rope dipped in chemicals to try and cut through a wine bottle to make a vase.
When they set light to the rope, the bottle exploded and sent Abbie up in flames.
AJ acted fast to put out the blaze and smothered Abbie in wet towels, before calling 999.
Doctors fought to save Abbie’s arms and face from severe scarring.
I’m A Celebrity star AJ spoke out about the horrific accident for the first time last month on the AJ v Curtis podcast with his Love Island star sibling.
