BBC Breakfast viewers had been concerned over Naga Munchetty’s absence from the show this week as nothing had been announced, but she has been seen relaxing and golfing in Scotland.
Many fans were posting on Twitter and Instagram to ask where she was and saying they miss her.
Nina Warhurst stepped in for hosting duties on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and Naga was mysteriously missing.
Naga has liked several tweets that show her golfing in Scotland and enjoying some down time.
The Scottish golf course tweeted: “Great to see Naga Munchetty from the BBC playing on the Links today at Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Club. Great player with a 7 handicap too.”
They added: “We hope you have a great time in the Highlands of Scotland.”
A fan replied: “I’ve met Naga and seen her play a few times at the Scottish Open, she is a great golfer. It’s not easy getting down to a 7. She’s a lovely lady too.”
Another said: “My husband met you at Nairn GC! Apologies for calling you Nadia! Hope you enjoyed the course, so glad to hear you’re enjoying our beautiful area.”
“Let’s see you hit a 3 iron Naga!” encouraged another.
Fans had been concerned for days about the absence of the popular presenter.
One viewer asked: “Why isn’t Naga doing the interview?”
Another asked: “Is Naga being quietly phased out?”
“When are you back on breakfast? We miss you!” queried someone else.
“Really miss Naga’s nice and cheerful face, also her lovely clothes each day” added another fan.
She had previously been struggling with tendonitis from running, and shared updates with fans about her injury.
Her last official social media snap was posting an update after a run on Wednesday, telling people it was a gorgeous run and to enjoy their day.
Another listener asked on Monday if she was alright after “coughing” and “spluttering” on her BBC 5 Live radio show.
Naga replied saying “Just getting over a cold, thanks for asking!x”
The presenter took up golf in 2008, and her husband James Haggar is a keen golfer too.
Back in 2015 she confessed: “I’ll be honest, golf has changed my life.
“It’s helped with my temperament and my focus and, when you work the hours I work in a studio, being outside for four to five hours a day is good for you.”
Hopefully she will be back feeling refreshed next week.
Daily Star has reached out to Naga’s representative for comment.
