BBC Breakfast’sNaga Munchetty has admitted how she enjoyed getting slimed as she reflected back to her CBBC debut.
As Saturday Mash-Up makes celebrated it’s 45th anniversary on air, the British broadcaster reflected back to when she was slimed alongside her co-star Charlie Stayt last year.
The raven-haired beauty admitted that it was always her “dream to get gunged as a child” but found the reality of the activity to be quite a lot colder than it appeared on the CBBC show Splatterjack.
And her co-host Jon Kay couldn’t help but poke fun at the star as he questioned her on the hilarious experience while they watched her get hit with green slime.
As the 46-year-old shared her frustration at being the first TV correspondent to be hit with the with the neon green gunk, Jon asked what it was like getting hit with the slimy substance on air.
She explained: “I don’t know what it’s made out of but when it hits you, it’s fine and then it gets really, really cold.
“So, it’s like warm gunk, it’s quite nice actually and then it gets really cold and I was shivering by the end of it.
“Because everything, everything is gunged. I walked into the shower with all my clothes on.”
Ahead of her appearance on the show, Naga knew she would have to pick clothes that were doomed to get ruined once she sat in the fateful chair.
But despite the highly stainable substance, the TV presenter assured viewers that her clothes were saved after a cycle in the washing machine.
She added: “I have worn them since then, they have been washed.”
And Jon couldn’t help but giggle as fan-favourite Charlie appeared on the children’s hit morning show in a suit and tie despite the chances of his professional ensemble getting ruined.
Naga confirmed how the news correspondent’s clothes were salvaged from the pink slime attack after they were taken to the dry cleaners.
She joked: “That’s been washed too [and it’s] cleaner than it’s ever been.”
This comes after the BBC anchor urged her loyal legion of fans online to donate blood to help save lives during the pandemic.
The loving wife filmed the procedure when she popped down to her nearby hospital last week to donate herself.
