Ben Shephard offers Tipping Point place to GMB director after exit news

TV Presenter Ben Shephard, 46, has been offering his Good Morning Britain co-hosts and colleagues an “application form” for his daytime quiz show, Tipping Point.

The push for them to apply to appear on his beloved quiz show comes after his boss, Erron, announced his decision to leave ITV.

He also teased his ITV boss and GMB Director, Erron Gordon, who is leaving the channel after 13 years at the end of 2021.

Ben shared a clip with his 778.2k Twitter followers of a pivotal Tipping Point moment and asked Erron to join the show as his very special “leaving present”.

However, Ben quickly relinquished his grand offer and instead said he could merely “forward him the application form”.

Erron mockingly wrote to Ben on Twitter: “Can you fix it for me to play this as a leaving present,” alongside several prayer hands emojis.

Ben cheekily replied with: “Haha I can def forward you the application form.”

“I expect more from the main man of the Tip,” Erron wrote back, accompanied with a GIF of a man shaking his head in disappointment.

Tim Carr, the ITV floor manager, also got involved in the conversation, tweeting: “I’ll play against you @errongordon I’d love to have a go.”

Erron eagerly replied: “Yes I love this idea! We need one more…”

Even ITV camera operator Kathryn Webster put her name forward to join the quiz team.

“That’s three let’s do it!” Erron exclaimed at having formed a super ITV team.

He also shared a picture of his at home mini Tipping Point-inspired game.

“That’ll do nicely,” Erron replied, along with a laughing emoji.

Erron revealed his decision to leave ITV to his 14.7k Twitter followers last month.
