“Big is beautiful”: A Place in the Sun's Laura Hamilton in gorgeous bikini photo

She’s helped many Brits to buy property overseas on A Place in the Sun, so presenter Laura Hamilton definitely deserves ‘a night on the tiles.’

The mother-of-two wowed fans as she posted a gorgeous bikini shot while reclining on a tiled roof in Spain.

Laura, 39, beamed in the Instagram shot while wearing a beautiful black patterned bikini and a large wide-brimmed hat.

She wrote: “Big is beautiful… do you agree? #spain #strongnotskinny #bodypositivity”

Laura has been married to broker Alex Goward since 2012 and the couple have two children, Rocco, seven, and daughter Tahlia, five.

Laura suffers from an immune deficiency disease known as idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP). She was diagnosed with the condition when Tahlia was seven months old.

Sufferers of ITP can bruise easily due to a low platelet count in their blood.

Last month she shared a selfie of herself on Instagram from a hospital ward after having a bad reaction to her second Covid vaccine.

The property expert and TV star had to pull out of an event to raise awareness for breast cancer.

Thankfully, Laura quickly bounced back and is doing what she loves in Spain.

While the beauty may be admired for her gorgeous figure, she has previously revealed that she does have some body hang-ups.

Although she was the runner-up on Dancing on Ice in 2011, Laura was wounded when judge Jason Gardiner cruelly compared her legs to “tree trunks.”

The hurtful jibe brought back painful memories of a spiteful throwaway comment from a complete stranger about her legs. 23 years ago. Laura recently admitted that it has stayed with her ever since

Speaking to The Sun she said that she had muscular legs as a result of ballet as a teen, while her friends were slimmer in appearance.

She admitted her muscular legs felt “out of proportion” and said: “I’ve never been stick-thin. I’ve always had curves and cellulite.

However, a body shaming comment made towards her when she was 16, questioning her decision to wear a mini skirt because of her legs, is something that she has never forgotten.

“I still remember that comment clear as day,” she said. “That was definitely a trigger that made my legs one of my body hang-ups.”
