Celebrity Bake Off fans distracted by Dizzee Rascal's 'stiff peak' tent remark

Celebrity Bake Off sent Twitter into a frenzy this week as rap star Dizzee Rascal made a hilarious “stiff peak” innuendo that left fans hot under the collar.

The 36-year-old had been busy trying to make meringue after Paul Hollywood had set the Queen Of Pudding challenge.

Trying to understand how to get the right consistency of the chewy dessert, he joked: “Stiff peak, stiff peak.

“What the hell is a stiff peak?”

Fans of the BBC programme immediately took to their keyboards to laugh about the distracting stint.

One fan wrote: “Dizzee Rascal on bake off is giving me life,’ ‘Stiff peak’ i’m dying.”

Another chimed: “Dizzee Rascal and ‘stiff peak’ lol #GBBO #GreatBritishBakeOff #BakeOff.”

While a fourth chimed: “Psml at dizzee rascal ‘stiff peek’ #BakeOff.”

Judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith challenged celebrities, including; Dizzee, Nick Grimshaw, Philippa Perry and Reece Shearsmith to tackle the tricky pud that consists of custard, jam and French baked meringue.

As the stars got to work, Dizzee seemed to become confused with the baking concept “stiff peak” – a term used to describe once egg whites have been whisked to a fluffy and unmovable texture.

Despite stumbling over a few definitions, the Dance Wiv Me hitmaker proved to be a dab hand in the kitchen.

Dizzee named his creation “Toots the Rasta Carrot Cake”

Earlier on in the competition, the judges had requested for the contestants to use a vegetable as the focal element of sponge bake.

Being creative, Dizzee decided to put his own stamp on the traditional carrot cake.

Serving up a rather moist sponge with a great flavour he presented his showstopper with a unique twist.

Using edible icing he carved out an orange veg and popped on a cool pair of shades, naming his hand-carved character “Toots the Rasta Carrot Cake.”

Celebrity Bake Off continues next Tuesday at 8pm on Channel 4
