Coronation Street fans were distracted during the latest visit to Weatherfield as Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dyneovor) made a bold fashion statement.
The mother-of-two opted to wear a beige beret during Friday’s episode as she discussed her love for art.
She donned the accessory as she joined close friend Gail Platt (Helen Forth) for a brisk walk.
The fight to take down evil businessman Ray Crosby (Mark Frost) went up a gear as Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) boarded a float with other members of the street to shout abuse about the crook on a megaphone.
Sally joined the rally to take down the evil man once and for all, but viewers couldn’t take their eyes off her beret.

Taking to Twitter, one fan gushed:”Omg I’m obsessed with Sally’s beret.”
Another added: “Can’t stop looking at Sally’s beret.”
A third person wrote: “And the crowd go wild for Sally’s beret.”
A fourth posted: “The whole world is falling down, and I’m just laughing at Sally’s beret on.”
However, some Corrie viewers were not so impressed with Sally’s fashion decision.

One fan tweeted: “What as Sally got on her head?”
Another added: “Sally looks like she has a pancake on her head.”
“Has Sally been watching too many episodes of Emily in Paris?,” a third person posted.
A fourth moaned: “Oh Sally put the hat in the bin .”
Sally is a staple of Weatherfield, and has recently revealed ex-producer Tony Wood came up with the idea for Sally and her ex-husband Kevin (Michael Le Vell) to leave the cobbles and go it alone in a new programme.
However, the soap icon explained how she is very glad that never went ahead.
Talking on the Soap From The Box podcast, Sally said: “There was talk of it.
“Tony Wood came up with the idea that we should leave the show and set up a new show. I’m so glad we didn’t.
“If it hadn’t gone very well, where would we be now?”
Sally added that she thinks it’s hugely important the writers keep Sally and Kevin as good friends in the soap, despite their previous split, because of all their history.
“Michael and I are very close and Sally and Kevin were married for 25 years.
“They were happy for most of those years, so I love the fact the writers have made Sally still concerned about Kevin and vice versa.”
Coronation Street continues on ITV on Friday night at 7.30pm
