Dani Dyer's boyfriend Sammy Kimmence cries as he's hit with prison sentence

Former Love Island star Dani Dyer’s boyfriend has been sentenced to 3.5 years in prison.

Sammy Kimmence, 25, cried after the sentence was read out.

He wept in court on Wednesday after hearing he was to be jailed for 42 months.

Kimmence was found guilty of scamming two elderly men out of £34,000, after he fraudulently posed as a financial investor.

His two victims, Peter Martin, 91, and Peter Haynes, 81, were persuaded to let him invest their money.

However, he then spent the money on expensive restaurants, hotels and clothes.

The two men were clients of Kimmence previously, when he worked as Senior Trader at Equine Global Sports Limited.

However the company later went into liquidation.

The company was used to place bets on horse races, on their client’s behalf.

It had been a long wait for Kimmence to find out his sentence, as the hearing was delayed twice.

Originally it was scheduled for June 25 from June 11 and then moved again to July 14.

His last court appearance was back in April, when Sammy was granted conditional bail until his next hearing.

Kimmence, of Rayleigh, Essex, changed his plea to guilty at that April appearance.

Until that point he had denied the charges against him.

Sammy appeared in court in February last year, and denied the allegations made against him that he scammed two elderly men.

The court heard that he first came into contact with the fraud victims when they were clients at his previous investment company.

It was alleged that he falsely claimed he could provide financial services to them, even though the business had stopped operating.

At the hearing in April, the court heard that the offences involved Sammy taking money from two elderly men aged 90 and 80.

It was alleged that he took the money between 2016 and 2018.

He claimed that he would invest the money through his company S&S Trading Ltd, but he did not.

He admitted to four counts of fraud against Peter Martin, totalling nearly £26,000.

Sammy also admitted to a fifth charge against Peter Haynes of £7,927.

Dani Dyer and Sammy welcomed their first child back in January, a baby boy called Santiago.
