Davina McCall flashes bare bum as she candidly shares her daily HRT method

Davina McCall showed off her bare bum as she decided to let her followers in to her personal HRT – hormone replacement therapy – routine, which she does daily to help with her menopause symptoms.

Davina McCall flashed her bare bum in a personal video with her Instagram followers.

The former Big Brother presenter decided to allow fans in to her daily HRT – hormone replacement therapy – routine in an attempt to clear up the myths and rumours around the treatment.

The 53-year-old Channel 4 star started off her video by clearing up that taking testosterone won’t make her grow a penis.

All smiles as she joked about the process, Davina started applying oestrogen gel to her left arm.

Slipping off the towel to reveal her bare flesh on her leg and the side of her bum, the star then began putting testosterone on her leg.

Chatting to her 1.3million fans, the star asked: “Did you know testosterone is an enormously important woman’s hormone as well? My testosterone was low and I take a pea sized bit of testosterone.

“By the way taking testosterone does not make you grow a penis or get testicles or hairy or anything like that.”

Davina also explained that she applies hormone patches to her groin zone twice a week and zoomed in to her horn tattoo and old hormone patch.

“I was going to take it off in the shower and wash it properly because it does leave a little bit of sticky stuff but I thought you should see the ups and downs,” she explained with a laugh. “I wanted you to see warts and all. This is what it looks like. When I put on a new sticker I put it on the other side.

“We use stickers because they are transdermal,” the star said. “It’s a much better way to take HRT. This is called Estradot. It is the patch, there’s my bum and you peel it like this.”

Davina’s new documentary on Channel 4 is a powerful attempt to squash the myths and fears around the menopause, and the shame around HRT.

During filming, Davina struggled with her emotions and the intensity of what she was trying to achieve, often crying with exhaustion after a long day.

“I get home after filming and sometimes I just sit down and cry…” she admitted previously. “From deep frustration and anger at how we are failing women.”

The former Big Brother host went on to add that she doesn’t just believe her new doc is for women either.

She insisted it’s also for menopausal women’s partners, brothers, sons and even their fathers.

The NHS website lists some of the symptoms of the menopause as hot flushes, low mood, anxiety, and struggling with memory and concentration.

While appearing on Gabby Logan’s The Mid.Point podcast, Davina even said that she was so scared she had Alzheimer’s disease because she was suffering with forgetting things.

The doctor told her what she actually had was “cognitive overload”.

Amongst filming her documentary, unfortunately the star has also had to leave her commitment to the new Changing Rooms reboot behind due to scheduling issues and postponements from the coronavirus pandemic.
