EastEnders fans are saying their goodbyes to Big Mo Slater (Laila Morse) after she decided to go on her Caribbean cruise with Fat Elvis during Tuesday night’s episode.
The soap icon had been sticking around as she was worried about Jean Slater’s (Gillian Wright) behaviour, concerned that her cancer may have returned.
But Jean – who is actually worried her cancer may be back – lied to Big Mo and convinced her to go on her once in a lifetime trip.
It led to the Slater clan throwing a farewell party for Big Mo, with Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) shaking her stuff in a plunging top as they all donned novelty sunglasses.

Fans aren’t as excited though, as they took to Twitter to say goodbye to the much-loved character.
One wrote: “Love Mo and her sense of humour. She’ll be missed.”
A second said: “I’m going to miss Big Mo.”
A third tweeted: “Whoever is in charge of EastEnders has quite literally lost the plot. Letting Mo (who is a genuinely convincing actress and a bit of fun) go and bringing in awful Vi who can’t act for toffees is a bad move. Storylines dismal and worthy. Mo was comedy genius.”

Another complained: “So we finally get to see Big Mo now that it’s her final week? And she is being replaced by Vi? Such a stupid decision. Such a shame you have underused Big Mo for years!”
Mo made her decision after a chat with Jean, after previously telling her she was worried about her.
Jean hoisted her bag up onto the table and tipped it over, sending countless chocolate bars and packets of sweets spilling over the counter.

She told Mo that she’d picked up a stealing habit, and she’d kept it up as it gave her a bit of a thrill.
Knowing that it was nothing serious – or at least nothing life-threatening – Mo decided it would be alright for her to head off on her holiday.
This isn’t the first time Big Mo has left Albert Square though, as she’s had a number of breaks over the years.
It’s expected that this latest departure will also be temporary, while actress Laila takes some well-earned time off.
In fact, an EastEnders spokesperson confirmed: “Just like many occasions before, Big Mo will be departing Walford but as always she’ll no doubt be back in the not too distant future.”
In the meantime, viewers will be left wondering what will happen to Jean, as she told her doctor she didn’t want to be given a diagnosis.
