EastEnders star Kellie Bright has revealed she is pregnant with her third miracle child.
The 44-year-old soap actress says she is expecting a “miracle” third child after undergoing a frozen embryo transfer with husband Paul, 38.
Paul and Kellie are already parents to sons Freddy, nine, and Gene, four.
Kellie says the family’s new arrival is due in August following a gruelling journey to fall pregnant with her third.
The star conceived and gave birth to Freddy, her first child, naturally when she was 34. For Gene she underwent IVF treatment after she and her hubby struggled to fall pregnant.
Following Gene’s birth, Kellie says she made the decision to store three extra embryos just in case she wanted anymore children in the future.
Two of the embryos failed to become pregnant, meaning it was down to their last one which luckily, became the pair’s third child.
Kellie described their journey as a “rollercoaster” as she opened up to OK! magazine about her and Paul’s journey to conceive their third child.
Kellie told the publication: “It has nothing to do with the boys not being enough – they absolutely are. It’s just I never felt like I was done.
“I always had an itch, a desire to have more.
“My husband and I went round in circles for a couple of years deciding whether or not to just go for the third.”
She explained how she “couldn’t let” the embryos go.
Kellie continued: “I have a demanding full-time job and the reality of having a baby and a toddler within all of that is overwhelming, and we weren’t quite ready.
“But I had such an emotional attachment to those embryos.
“I know they’re cells but they have the potential to be another Gene! I couldn’t let it go.
“Eventually, we decided to go ahead at the end of 2019… and then Covid-19 happened.”
