Grim images have revealed the aftermath of Leanna Cavanagh’s (Mimi Slinger) murder after villain Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) took her first victim in Emmerdale last week.
Meena heartlessly cornered Leanna in the cemetery before chasing her to the humpback bridge and tossing her over the side.
And now, devastating pictures have revealed dad Liam Cavanagh’s (Jonny McPherson) grief at the sudden loss of his daughter.
In one picture, Liam can be seen standing bereft on the humpback bridge, where Gabby, Liv and Jacob have begun to set up a memorial for their late friend.
Scenes on Thursday revealed Liam’s own shock at hearing his daughter had died, as the camera blurred the images around him as he staggered away from wife Leyla to the scene of the incident.
And things are set to get even more devastating, as Liam begins to ruthlessly tear apart the flowers that have been left in memory of Leanna, clearly overcome with grief.
Images show the doting dad standing next to an arrangement of flowers and cards left for his daughter, looking furious with the world.
The memorial was Gabby’s idea after the three teenagers were overcome with grief and guilt at Leanna’s death.
Leyla attempts to calm her husband down, but it isn’t clear how – or if – he will manage to cope with his overwhelming grief.
And Emmerdale spoilers have revealed that Meena could get off scot-free, as no one in the village suspects foul play and believes Leanna’s death to simply be a tragic accident.
Leyla, meanwhile, explains to Meena that the police don’t think Leanna’s death was suspicious, and a relieved Meena can’t resist a triumphant grin as she toys with the ring she pried from Leanna’s lifeless body.
Later, Leyla is shocked to discover that Liam went to the chapel of rest alone to see Leanna.
He tells her to spend the night at David’s, but she refuses to leave him, leading Liam to storm upstairs and leave her distraught.
Liam later rejects vicar Charles’ attempts to console him, leaving Cain thoughtful.
The usually stoic Dingle approaches Liam at the Cricket Pavilion in his own way, and Liam is grateful beyond words for Cain’s support as the two sit in silence, drinking together.

Liam asks Jacob to help with Leanna’s things to try and make amends with him, but becomes distressed when Jacob starts asking after the ring he gave Leanna.
Meena is left trying to desperately keep a poker face, as a broken Liam fights his inner turmoil as he surveys the river bank where Leanna was found before driving away from the village.
