Coronation Street actress Faye Brooks broke down in tears during Sunday’s episode of Dancing On Ice.
The ITV starlet fought back tears as she opened up to the nation about her brother Jack’s decade long leukaemia battle.
Vowing to show viewers how proud she is of her younger sibling, Faye dedicated her second skate to him.
Faye said: “For my personal skate I am doing Simply The Best – covered by James Bay.
“My brother Jack got diagnosed with leukaemia when he was nine and I was 14.
“I will never forget when my mum came into my room and sat me down I and knew she was preparing me for the worst – that Jack might not make it.”
Faye heartbreakingly added that she wished it had been her that was ill and not Jack.
She continued: “My whole world has been taken away from me in that split second and the first thing I thought was why hadn’t that happens to me.
“I didn’t want that for him. I didn’t want him to suffer.
“He was in and out of hospital for nearly ten years but I am so lucky to say he did get through it.
“He is still by my side making me laugh.”
Faye added: “He is my best friend he is not just my brother and I want everyone to know how proud I am of him.
The fact he got given a second chance in life. That is what my personal skate is all about.
When it came to the all important scores, Faye picked up a full house of 10s.
The feat meant she bagged a perfect total of 40 points.
“I just did it for him and I hope I made him proud. I loved every minute of it,” Faye said fighting back tears.
Beaming Holly Willoughby added: “It was beautiful,” as her co-host Phillip Schofield nodded in agreement.
Praising the skate itself, Britain’s Got Talent winner Ashley Banjo said: “I have been toughen you sometimes.
“With feedback I’ve been asking for more and more. Sometimes more simplistic is better.
“I was bowled over by the quality of the skating and I couldn’t have asked ay more.”
Meanwhile, Jayne Torvill said: “This routine was what we have all been waiting for.
We all knew you were capable of doing it. Congratulations.”
