After shielding together throughout much of 2020, it’s poignant that Gogglebox favourites Mary, 91, and Marina, 88, supported each other to have their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
The two women were pictured wearing masks as they received their first jabs in Bristol.
Reported by Bristol Live, pictures of the duo showed a professional administering the eldest’s jab as Marina nervously looked on beside her.
Both retired widows, Mary and Marina live in flats in the same care home, and provide some of the most hilarious moments on the Channel 4 comedy doc.
Unfortunately the duo were forced to sit out of the show’s latest instalments, when bosses made the decision to cut them last year.

Due to COVID-19 risks being much higher in the over-70s, the production couldn’t risk Mary and Marina’s safety for the sake of the series.
At the time, producer Tania Alexander said: “Unfortunately, it was not possible to film with the full cast.
“For example, we took the decision to tell Mary and Marina, who are in their 90s and live in a care home, that we didn’t want them put at any risk, so we should stop filming with them altogether,” she added to The Telegraph.

Flocking to Twitter to support their favourite ladies, fans were delighted they’d finally gotten their vaccine.
One person shared: “Seeing this has really warmed my heart. Sending tons of love to these 2 beauties xx.”
“Great news hopefully you will be back on Gogglebox soon love their banter,” another hoped.
A third grateful fan said: “Thanks for keeping us smiling”.

Not everyone on Gogglebox has chosen to have the vaccine, as fellow star Pete Sandiford revealed on the show he’d decline the invitation as he “didn’t like injections”.
Pete’s sister Sophie found herself in a similar predicament back in November when she admitted she was struggling with whether to have one, but admitted she’d likely give in.
“50 per cent of me is very excited, the other 50 is thinking, at some point, I’m gonna have to have [an] injection here,” the star explained.
Mary and Marina are just two of more than three million people in the UK who have received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
