Hollyoaks star Jennifer Metcalfe has been on quite a rollercoaster when it comes to her love life.
The 37-year-old actress, who plays Mercedes McQueen in the Channel 4 soap, has endured many public romances and equal amounts of heartache too.
In February last year, it was reported that the soap star had began dating Manchester United ace Chris Eagles.
A source reported to The Sun: “They’re really smitten with each other.
“They’ve known each other for a while but only very recently started dating.

“The relationship is in its very early stages and things are going well. Who knows where things could go?”
However, the romance seemed to spark quite a lot of tension, particularly with Chris’ ex Danielle Mitchinson, who accused her friend Jennifer of “breaking girl code”
Danielle claimed in an interview with the same publication that the Channel 4 babe had shown “no respect”.

Chris’ ex-girlfriend of eight-years, even alleged that it was Jen who had convinced her to break things off in the first place.
An insider said at the time: “[Danielle said] I thought Jen was my friend. I confided in her about our relationship and this is how she has repaid me. She has shown me no respect. Neither has he…
“It was Jen who gave me the push to finally leave him. Within weeks I found out they were together.

“She has massively broken the girl code and she doesn’t even have any remorse about it.”
Before the TV star and Chris were believed to be an item, Jen announced her split from Geordie’s Shore star Greg Lake in August 2020.
The pair share son Daye Lake, four, together – who she previously described as a “miracle baby”.
However, after eight-years together it seems their romance had ran its course and Jen took to Instagram to announce they were parting ways.

She wrote: “Greg and I decided to part ways amicably a couple months ago.
“We remain friends and we both will continue to happily co-parent Daye and would appreciate privacy during these times.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported us before, during and after this.”
It seems the TV babe isn’t one to wait around very long before cupids arrow strikes again.
Greg and the on-screen bombshell were believed to have started dating just 20 days after her romance to Dancing On Ice professional Sylvain Longchambon ended.
Jennifer and the Frenchman had met when she signed up for the ITV show and they instantly hit it of.
They were engaged and due to marry, until he fell head over heels for Coronation Street star Samia Ghadie just two years later.

Samia and Sylvain were also pared together on the programme in 2012.
That same Christmas, the professional skater phoned Jennifer to call off their relationship and wedding while confirming that he did have “feelings” for Samia – leaving the actress humiliated and “gutted”.
Both Sylvain and the Corrie babe have always strongly denied that they had been unfaithful.
