Hollyoaks’ very own real-life couple, Luke Jerdy and Daisy Wood-Davis have announced they’re expecting their first child together.
The soon-to-be parents shared the happy news with fans on social media.
Daisy is believed to be around 19 weeks pregnant and announced the news with photographs of the sonogram on Instagram.
The former Kim Butterfield actor shared she was due in October.
They posted loved-up photos of them holding a baby scan.
Daisy wrote: “We have been keeping the biggest (smallest) secret of our lives!
“We couldn’t let Covid get in the way of any more of our plans so instead of saying ‘I do’ this year, we’ve been growing and preparing for our precious baby son or daughter (still can’t believe those words are coming out of my mouth!).
“Cannot wait to tell you all more about our journey so far.”
Luke added: “Just call us Mum and Dad.”
Fans rushed to the comments to wish congratulations on the pair.
“Awww, amazing news”, one fan wrote with a love heart emoji.
A second added: “Oh my gawwwd. Congratulations to you both! This is just beautiful. I’m so happy for you.”
A third penned: “This is just amazing news! So excited for you guys! Stunning mummy, handsome daddy!”
The pair announced their engagement during a holiday to Greece in August 2019.
The actor got down on knee and popped the question on the beach in front of her family, with a “dream” engagement ring Luke had designed for Daisy.
They shared the news with followers, with Luke posting “She said yes” on his profile.
Luke, 31, played Jesse Donovan on Hollyoaks from 2016 until 2020, while Daisy left her role as Kim Butterfield in late 2018.
The couple has been dating for around three years, having met back in 2011 through a mutual friend.
Daisy’s character Kim was famously kidnapped by Ryan Knight and locked in the abandoned Hollyoaks High for months.
She survived on tins of beans and by talking to a poster of Rick Astley.
