Hollywood actress Linda Carlson has died aged 76 after a long battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a rare neurological disease that primarily affects the nerve cells.
The star died on October 26 in her home in Gaylordsville, Connecticut.
The actress is best known for starring in the ’90s classic Honey, I Blew Up the Kid.
The Tennessee-born star became a Hollywood starlet after starring in the 1982 sitcom Newhart, as Bev Dutton.
She played the role of a manager of the small Vermont television station where Bob Newhart hosted a Sunday afternoon interview programme.
Linda made her TV debut in Westside Medical in 1977, where she portrayed Dr Janet Cottrell for the 13-episode run series.
A year later, she featured in the legal drama Kaz, with Ron Leibman playing attorney Martin “Kaz” Kazinsky.
She also built up multiple TV credits over the years with shows such as Cincinnati, Scarecrow and Mrs King, Brothers and My Two Dads all in her portfolio of work.
Film-wise, Linda notoriously appeared in 1992’s Honey, I Blew Up the Kid and 1993’s The Beverly Hillbillies.

In the early stages of her career, Linda also appeared in Steven Bochco’s Murder One and the television adaptation of Clueless.
As an aspiring actress, Linda first moved to New York in her teens to attend NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
In her youth, she started out in local plays around New York during the early ’70s before making her Broadway debut in the Otto Preminger-directed reboot of Erich Maria Remarque’s Full Circle.

She has left behind her husband James A. V. Hart, sister Janet Ouren, brother James Hale Carlson and four nieces and nephews.

Voluntary muscles produce movements like chewing, walking, and talking.
